Gulf is resolute that the economic empowerment and social upliftment of those less fortunate than ourselves is no longer an option but has become imperative in our country. We have embarked on a plan of identifying individuals that show promise and dedication. We the have used the skills and experience of our team to assist in their development and honing of specific skills in order that they become part of the business structures.
Health Protection Plan
Gulf is pleased to announce that we one of the first in our industry to provide an affordable health plan to our staff that will ensure the best possible medical care, funeral benefit and death benefit for under R200 per month.
Disability Division
Gulf has initiated discussions with an accredited association to create a division of the company to employ and look after the interests and development of people with disability. We look forward to announcements in the very near future.
Environmental Issues
Gulf is committed to and acknowledges that “green” is not just a destination but a journey. We are aware that our clients have policies and plans in an ever-increasing important facet of our lives and we encourage all our site staff to engage in these initiatives. However, we as a small Head Office team have taken it one step further and have reached out to the younger and disadvantaged groups in our community. Our next project is taking a group of children from a local orphanage for a full days’ activity to an animal rehabilitation centre for a fun yet informative day.
HIV / AIDS
Gulf ensures that all contracted staff are given an HIV/AIDS awareness program by an accredited institution prior to going on site and, at the same time, encouraged to do the necessary tests to confirm their status. All our site managers and supervisors have to attend regular training sessions in order that they are able to assist contractual staff on site.
